Zapier is an easy to use automation tool for busy people. Zapier moves info between your web apps automatically, so you can focus on your most important work. The Uplyft Loyalty integration on Zapier connects to 1,000+ apps and allows you to start rewarding customers with zero or little development effort.
To get started with Uplyft + Zapier, you need to create an account on Zapier. After that please contact us, to get access to the Uplyft app on Zapier, since it is currently in BETA mode.
To automate the rewarding of your customers you need to create a Zap with your trigger of choice (e.g. your ecommerce store) and Uplyft Loyalty as the action. Zapier will lead you through this process. There are a couple things to look out for:
Your trigger app needs to send a loyalty alias of your customer. This is needed, so that the Uplyft app knows who to reward. If you have an ecommerce shop, you'll need to add a field to your checkout to ask the user for his loyalty alias for the loyalty program you are rewarding.
For authorization, you need to use the base-64 encoded app ID and secret that you find in your app settings in Uplyft. You can use the test secret to test your Zap to make sure everything works as expected.
You need to map the fields that the trigger sends to the fields that are needed in the action (Uplyft), so that the API sends the correct data. But no worries, Zapier will make it easy for you to set this up.
When you are happy with your test events, you can go ahead and use your production secret in the authorization. Enable your Zap afterwards and check Uplyft to see customer events coming in.
